O-LEVELS (CLASS X&XI)

Each student takes the compulsory subjects and an option from each of the groups A to D. This means that a wide range of ten subjects is taken by O-level students. This is particularly appropriate for competitive admission to Colleges later.

Each student takes the General course or Global Perspectives[1] with one option from each of the blocks. These options allow for considerable flexibility. Thus it is possible to take Geography and Economics with Biology and Mathematics.

[1]] Global Perspective is a pilot project for which CIE has chosen one school in Pakistan (Karachi Grammar School). About 20 students are listed for this class. It must be stated that other A-level students who take four main subjects and the General paper are not disadvantaged in any way.
