Sports: Early morning P.E and games are built into the timetable.
Coaching sessions for team sports
and inter-house matches are held in the afternoon. Our Annual Sports Day is an
inter-house
competition.
Music:
Compulsory music classes are built into the timetable. Band, singing and dance
classes
offered after school are optional.
Swimming:
Swimming classes held in the afternoon allow for one hour of swimming per week.
The annual Swimming Gala is an inter-house competition.
Concert:
The school choir rehearses once a week. Every child in the school comes into the
spotlight
during the staging of the annual musical.
Cub Scouts, Junior Girl Scouts and Brownies:
Weekly meetings are held on Saturday mornings.
A Day Camp is organised once a year.
Inter-school Competitions:
Our students compete in inter-school art competitions, the Dawn
spelling bee, swimming tournaments and sporting events when they are organised
within the city
limits.
Community Service:
The Junior Section regularly gives children the opportunity to give time and
money to those less fortunate than themselves as well as to the victims of
natural disasters.
French Classes:
Students in Class VI can opt for a weekly French class held in the afternoon.
Weekly Assembly:
Through talks and student presentations our weekly assembly is often used to
enhance the curriculum.
