Curriculum

Middle School curriculum is designed with the needs of the growing adolescent in mind. It creates excitement for learning by cultivating an intellectual environment where curiosity, creativity and aesthetic awareness is developed. In addition to this, analytical and critical thinking skills are enhanced, thus preparing the way to developing independent learning skills.

Class VII is the first year at the Middle Section and is a transition year in so many ways. Coming to a new site is not the only movement these students make they now have to move to ten subject rooms and for longer lessons. By Class IX they have two more subjects and teachers with which to deal. General Science is taught as three separate disciplines; Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Also they have already begun the O Levels courses in Islamiyat / Bible Knowledge and Pakistan Studies. The preparation for examinations are also an important aspect of the learning process.

However, the assessment system, during a term, caters to the needs of students of varying ability. Different types of assessments are used by the various subject department depending on the scope for practicals and oral presentations. It is through project work that a variety of skills, particularly social skills are developed in our students.

The curriculum enables students to develop their personal organisational and time managements skills making them learn responsibility. Thus they will equipped to deal with the challenges at the College Section where they are expected to be more independent in their approach to learning.
