There was more to the ceremony than just an endless line of handshakes and certificates. It was a proud moment for the parents to see their child being appreciated not only for marks achieved on a test, but also for an ability that made him a valuable member of the school community. Interpersonal skills, reading, a good heart and participation in activities that take place outside of school time were some of the areas acknowledged. Many talents were showcased which included group performances by Music Club and Mime and Drama Club. The School Band played the National Anthem, there were a number of solo recitals ranging from singing to piano and violin. Each year group got together to sing popular songs and the ceremony always ended with the school song.
