Book Week: Day One

11 Mar 2019

The first day of Book Week started with CLass VI students being stationed around the school and reading Urdu Stories to children from Class IV. The  Storytellers wore costumes and had props to add to the fun. Later in the day, the students of Class III and IV learnt valuable tips on dramatic reading from guest speaker, Mr. Atif Badar. Mr Badar read them stories while modulating his voice and maintaining a good tempo which kept the children engaged throughout.

Two giant scrabble board were also set up on the stage in the inner courtyard. Classes came down to play on the boards using tiles made by the children.

The theme of this year’s Book Week 2019 was Reading = Hope x Change, (‘What’s Your Equation?’)The equations written by each student, on their favourite story were displayed around the school. This was evidence of their love for reading and our belief that, ‘Reading = Hope x Change.’
