Celebrating the Independence Week

19 Aug 2022

As part of the Independence week celebrations, a special Assembly was held on Friday 19th August 2022, to commemorate the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan.

Keeping in mind the patriotic mood of the occasion, students from Nursery to Year VI as well as their teachers, wore traditional clothes in the colours of the national flag.

The assembly began with a brief address by the headmistress KG&JS and the Principal on the importance of the day.

After hearing about the historical significance of the day and the journey taken by our founding fathers on the road to independence, the children were treated to a vivid and inspiring slide presentation about Pakistan and its achievements.

Excitement and energy permeated the auditorium as the “dholwallas” added to the festive mood with their colourful performance.

Our guest musicians, Mrs. Nazia Hasan, Mr. Shalom Xavier and Mr. Irteza Chauhan celebrated the spirit of independence by singing an assortment of popular national songs. They were ably accompanied by the Junior Section Choir, the teachers’ choir and the children and staff of both sections.

Excitement and energy permeated the auditorium as the “dholwallas” added to the festive mood with their colourful performance!

Cheers of “Pakistan Zindabad” could be heard echoing throughout the school, bringing to an end a very memorable assembly!
