Class VI visits the State Bank Museum

18 Feb 2020

The students of Class VI visited the State Bank Museum on the 11th and 14th of February, 2020. They were accompanied by members of the staff and a parent coordinator from each section. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the history of money and to appreciate the life and work of Sadequain, a renowned artist of our country.

The very helpful and knowledgeable guides at the museum showed the students how we had started with barter trade and now have moved on to electronic banking. The Sadequain Gallery had some of the artist’s best pieces of work.

As the students moved around and absorbed all the information, they filled in a related worksheet to record their learning. At the end of the trip, they were given paperweights made of shredded discarded currency notes.  The children found the experience informative and enjoyed themselves tremendously.
