On the 30th and 31st of January, the children of Class II went to the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture to integrate their science topic 'Grouping and changing materials'.The children got hands on experience on working with clay on the potter's wheel in the ceramics department. They saw the procedure of molding clay into different casts. They also learnt about different techniques of print making. They did screen printing and brought their art work as a souvenir.
They learnt about natural and man-made materials and how they can be changed. Children learnt some changes are reversible and some that are irreversible. The field trip to IVS turned out to be a good learning experience as the kids were motivated to explore new fields of interest and benefit from the materials around them.
