Hour of Code

14 Dec 2017

The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in over 180 countries.  It is designed to demystify code and show that anyone can learn the basics.  Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science.  It helps nurture problem solving skills, logic and creativity.

This year, our children were exposed to coding via plugged and unplugged coding activities.  It is the perfect way to offer a child-friendly introduction to coding concepts and problem solving. Whether or not your child grows up to be the next Zuckerberg or John D. Carmack, coding is a highly useful skill for him or her to learn. It teaches vital problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills.
