The children of the Kindergarten and Junior Section had a special assembly in the auditorium to celebrate our country’s Independence Day.
Mrs. Siddiqi welcomed the children and parents. She began the assembly by narrating a story about Quaid-e-Azam’s childhood. Quaid-e-Azam, even as a young child, always had a desire for freedom, even for birds imprisoned in a cage. The story was about how he set the imprisoned birds free.
A surprise for the day was the presence of the College Section students who enthusiastically led the school in singing national songs. The assembly ended with a resounding and heartfelt cheer for ‘Pakistan Zindabad!’
Another surprise of the day was at home time, when the children received the celebratory green and white ‘flag biscuits’.
