Day 2 of ‘Book Week’ was equally successful as the children of Class V took over fifteen reading stations and read to the children of Class III. They read stories in English in the outdoor areas around the school. The Spring weather complied and it was an extremely pleasant start to the day for all involved.
This was followed by an activity in the A.V Room where the Class IV children dressed up in costumes and recited poems. They impressed their audience with their clarity and rhythm.
The day ended on a high note as an author, Ruqayya Diwan Adamjee, used a power point presentaion full of illustrations to inspire the children to write. She talked about her book 'Choti Choti Khushiyan' and asked the childen to share their own personal “Choti Choti Khushiyan”.
