Classes for the Scouts have resumed and children are enjoying participating in this extra-curricular activity this term. Last Saturday, the Scouts were taught some survival skills, such as how to light a fire in an open area and how to cook and toast ‘rotis’, how to skewer pieces of chicken on sticks and then cook them over hot coals. They were also shown how to cook ‘rotis’ on slabs of stone which had been heated by the fires made by the Scouts. The Sports team supervised these young Scouts, so as to ensure that the children were safe at all times. The children enjoyed themselves thoroughly. They actively participated in these interesting activities with great relish and savoured every moment of it.
